Wealden District Council is preparing a document, as part of the Local Development Framework, called the Core Strategy that will set out the key elements of the planning framework for Wealden until 2026. It will contain a spatial vision and strategic objectives, a spatial strategy, core policies and a monitoring and implementation framework. The Core Strategy will be Wealden's principal Development Plan Document.
In order to develop the Core Strategy it is necessary for the Council to seek views from people who are interested in the document. In 2007 the Council produced two consultation documents called Core Strategy - Issues and Options Consultation Paper and A Summary Guide to the Core Strategy Issues and Options Consultation Paper. The responses received from the 2007 consultation have been used in the production of the latest Core Strategy consultation documents Core Strategy - Spatial Development Options and Spatial Development Options Summary Guide.
